Hey gang! Seely Clark here! I have a video for you today that shows you how to put a photo in your Facebook ad when the link that you are using to post to Facebook does not automatically render a picture for you.
For example, as an affiliate / reseller of Now LifeStyle my links that are designed for Facebook posting all have links that render pictures to go with the links and these pictures are clickable to the people who view it on Facebook. Some of my other links do not have this function.
I get around this by using the snipping tool on my windows computer to snip an image of the lead capture page. I then save the snipped picture to my computer for later use. Here is the video below… Enjoy!
IMPORTANT TIP FOR THOSE USING A MAC COMPUTER OR A PHONE: you don’t have to have a windows computer to do this- you can screen capture on your Mac, or do a screen shot on your phone.
On the phone you simply navigate to the lead capture page you want to use, go and paste the link into the web browser, bring the link up and view the page as anyone else would, then take a screen shot of that page.
Your phone at this point should prompt you to edit the screen shot- here you can crop the edges so that the outer edges of the shot look like the ones in my video- there should be no browser edges or phone times showing, all trimmed off and just the exciting bits of the page should be showing…
The next step is taking that link, pasting it into your post, then it will render a plain link with the title page, you can get rid of the plain link at the bottom, LEAVE the link you pasted in at the top. Then be sure to put “CLICK THE LINK HERE==>” beside your link…
The reason you do this is because a lot of people are used to Facebook ad pics being clickable and will click the crap out of the picture you added to your post– so when they inevitably power click on the picture and it’s not clickable you want to direct them clearly to the spot where they can click for more info. Which will be your link, not your pic…
The reason I have you use a pic of the lead capture page is so that the picture is vibrant, eye catching, curiosity inspiring, and it creates congruence between the picture they have seen (of your capture page) and where the link takes them once they click it.
